About Omonix

A technology function you can hire by the month.

Omonix exists for the stage where a business is making genuinely consequential technology decisions about AI, security, what to build and who to trust with it, and does not yet have anyone senior enough to own them.

Founder-led

You work with the founder.

Omonix was founded by Omar Todd and operates as a founder-led practice. That is a deliberate structure rather than a stage we have not grown out of: the value in fractional leadership is senior judgement applied directly, and it does not survive being delegated down a bench.

In practice it means the person on your first call is the person who runs the assessment, writes the roadmap, presents to your board and picks up the phone during an incident. Where a piece of work needs a specialist we do not have (penetration testing, a specific regulatory opinion, a niche platform) we bring one in and tell you we have, rather than learning at your expense.

It also shapes what we take on. We turn down work that would need a team we do not have, and we would rather refer you on than staff an engagement thinly.

How we work

Six commitments that shape every engagement.

01

Independent of the vendors

We hold no reseller agreements, referral fees or commissions on the software and platforms we assess. That is what makes "you already own a tool that does this" and "do nothing for now" answers we are free to give.

02

Plain language, always

Every deliverable is written so a non-technical director can read it, challenge it and approve it. If a recommendation only makes sense in jargon, it is usually not a recommendation yet.

03

Honest about the limits

Our cyber and AI work is advisory and readiness. We prepare you for certification, audits and client assessments, we do not issue certificates, and we will not imply that we do.

04

Built to be handed over

Documentation, registers and roadmaps live with you, in your systems. The measure of a good fractional engagement is that your team could continue without us.

05

Scope you can end

Fixed-fee reviews and monthly retainers with sensible notice. Nothing that only makes commercial sense if it runs for three years.

06

One accountable name

You are not passed from a salesperson to a delivery team to a support queue. The person who scopes the work does the work.

Where we work

Four regions, one standard of work.

Engagements run remotely by default, with on-site time where an assessment or a board session genuinely needs it. Working across these markets is useful in itself: the same client is often asked to satisfy UK GDPR, the Australian Privacy Act and a Gulf state procurement standard at once.

What we are not

  • Break-fix IT support or a helpdesk
  • Certification or accredited audit
  • Reselling licences, hardware or cloud credit
  • Staff-replacement automation programmes
  • Marketing dressed up as an AI strategy

Some longstanding clients still use us for websites, domains, hosting and social media support. That work continues, but it sits on its own page rather than at the centre of the practice.

Worth a conversation?

Thirty minutes is usually enough to tell whether there is a fit.
